Hello, and welcome to my blog.

I am A. Huname, an author of transhuman fiction and progressive science fiction. I write stories about humanity’s relationship with technology, the ways we may use it to transform ourselves and the consequences that could follow.

Technology is no longer merely something we hold in our hands. It watches us, learns from us, speaks to us and increasingly makes decisions for us. Soon, it may become an inseparable part of who we are.

That possibility fascinates me. It also leaves me with far too many questions.

What happens when technology becomes part of the human body?

If a human mind can be transferred into a digital world, does the person survive or does the technology merely create a convincing copy?

Could artificial intelligence become a new form of life?

What happens when people can redesign their bodies, expand their minds or escape the biological limits that have always defined human existence?

And if we gain the power to direct our own evolution, who decides what humanity should become?

I do not pretend to have the answers. That is why I write fiction.

My novels begin with a question: What if?

From there, I follow the possibilities wherever they lead. Sometimes they lead towards extraordinary progress. Sometimes they reveal uncomfortable consequences. Usually, they do both.

The progressive science fiction side of my writing explores more than technological change alone. It follows people, societies and intelligent systems as they develop, adapt and become something greater, stranger or more powerful than they were before. Progress is never without a price, and transformation does not always take us where we expected to go.

This blog will be a place to explore the ideas behind my stories. I will write about transhumanism, artificial intelligence, digital consciousness, human enhancement, technological evolution and the increasingly uncertain boundary between the human and the artificial. I will also share news about my novels, their imagined worlds and some of the questions that inspire them.

You do not need to be a futurist, scientist or philosopher to join the conversation. You only need to be curious about what may lie ahead.

I invite you to explore these thought-provoking questions with me through the medium of fiction. Perhaps we will discover some answers along the way. More likely, we will find even better questions.
